Recorded Live at We Love Space, Ibiza on the 15th September.
This mix was originally streamed exclusively on the We Love SoundCloud, due to popular demand (at least 3 people asked me), I re-uploaded to my own page and made the DOWNLOAD LINK ACTIVE :)
Thanks for the love. Jz x
For those that didn't catch the broadcast, this is a live recording of myself and Paul Woolford playing back to back for BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix 20th Anniversary Celebration in December 2013. This was at the peak of the night in the enormous main room, so the mix is representative of that. In other words, its quite banging!
A big thanks to whoever uploaded originally - Jz :)
P.S. Download link now available
A recording of my 'Moon' themed Essential Mix that aired on BBC Radio 1 from April this year. I hope you guys like it. "They're songs that mean something to me" and a homage to one of my favourite ever films. Lunar Industries 2010.
I've been nominated for the Essential Mix of the Year on Radio 1. Find out who else has been nominated and vote for your favourite http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/essentialmix/essentialmixoftheyear/2010/
This is a live recording of my set from The Warehouse Project in Manchester UK.
I was playing last after Pete Tong and Sasha so this is pretty peak time and in places it is not for the faint hearted!
Thanks to whoever uploaded this. There were a few annoying bandwidth glitches in the original stream so I edited them out.
EDIT! You can now hear part 2 here: https://thump.vice.com/en_us/track/mixed-by-james-zabiela
Oh, hello there. It’s been nearly 2 years since I feel I uploaded any kind of ‘meaningful’ mix to my Soundcloud.
So this is ‘Quantinuity’. A series of 4 mixes I’ll make over the coming months.
Without giving over importance to this ‘DJ Mix’ (I’ve hardly re-invented the wheel), some parts of it have been well laboured over, layered with various sounds and thoughts. Whilst other bits are just left alone and 'super-glued’. Whatever I felt was appropriate.
Thanks as always x
This Friday the Warehouse Project celebrates the closing of one of my favourite labels, ’50 Weapons’ and I’m honoured enough to be playing at the party. So to prepare for such an occasion I went down to the Bat Cave and had a mix, this is the result.

Although this is part 4 of a long running mix, as with the other parts this is intended to work both as a part of a bigger picture and also as stand alone piece. This piece see's a rise in tempos and in places it ventures into darker, gnarlier territories than those that have come before it.
1 Siriusmo 'Itchy' (Monkeytown)
2 Plant43 'Cogs Are Turning' (Flux)
3 Staffan Linzatti 'The Contraption' (Balans)
4 Bosh, Ellef, Dub Signal 'Futurism (Original Mix)' (Naked Lunch)
5 Cloud Boat 'Amber Road' (Apollo)
6 Iron Galaxy 'Why Havent We Left Yet' (Born Electric)
7 Dusty Kid 'This Hug' (Boxersport)
8 I/Y 'I/Y 002' (I/Y)
9 Koreless 'Sun' (Young Turks)
10 Galaxian 'Surge' (Last Known Trajectory)
11 House of Black Lanterns 'Worthless' (Houndstooth)
A remix I made for SpectraSoul.
Sorry I had to hide this, it wasn't ready.
"You gotta tame the beast before you let it out of its cage" (In other words the label made me take it down until it was released).
As some of you know I started a mix in May 2011 called 'Paradigm Shifts' which was an ongoing mix that I intended to add new parts to over a period of time.
This idea was quite a well received concept and even helped gain me a Resident Advisor Podcast. You can hear the strains of the last track (Scuba - Adrenalin) in the opening of this new part because it was the last track on the previous mix.
If people keep enjoying these I will continue to add :)
*Resident Advisor have now launched their yearly DJ poll! If you're a member you can vote for me here (if you like):
This is a mix I made for the cover of Mixmag late last year. I didn't name it. I wanted to call it 'Lost in Translation' because it features many field recordings throughout the mix from my time in Tokyo.
*Except the end part which as you'll hear from my cameo(!) I recorded when I got back home (1h09m50s)
Thanks for all the lovely comments :)
