This captures the meaning of my first mixtape "A Stamp In Time". there was a specific time frame in my life where a lot of things were looking down for me. i re-kindled some of the emotions i was having at those times and try to express them in a song. The voice mail at the end is from one of my closest friends and when i heard what was going on my heart dropped.
This mixtape as a whole resembles my transition from living in the Memphis area to the city of Ann Arbor. 2 Savage reminds me of how i acted when I was living in Memphis. I like to capture what my mindset was in specific time stamps in order for me to enjoy my music when i get older. Hence the reason my first mixtape was called "A Stamp In time" 12:03 is also an actual stamp in time whether it is A.M or P.M
Describing the term of events that happened in the previous song i somehow managed to make it to the University Of Michigan and i acknowledge the fact that making it here isant the hard part, Suceeding here is!!
The entire chorus is a play on words switching between the drug marijuanna Also refered to as "Dope" and the brain chemical Dopamine. The song is enspired to influence people to stop smoking and to help them realize that the drug Dopamine can be released in other ways rather than just smoking.
Once being exposed to the University Of Michigan I was exposed to a Very wide range of different rap style since The U of M is known for being diverse I heard rap styles from everyone around the country. With this being said I still happened to be one of the best in the city.
This is the featuring song of the Mixtape and it essentially captures the meaning of the mixtape in one song. Im from Memphis Tennesee so when i Decided to come to the U of M i thought i was going to have to spend triple the amount of money for the out-of-state tuition but luckly i devised a method to get in-state tuition.
The dialogue that happens in between each track is a key factor to "Twelve'OThree" the Mixtape. the character asks if the group wants to stop by south quad because he is obviously hungry. For the people who tend to want to do something differnt then what the group wants to do you can live your life any way you want to and just be free! i like spreading good vibes
This song expresses the evolutionary issue on the campus of Umich. there is unbalance in the socio-economic status that is admitted and I wanted to gain awareness of how things are being dealt with. I focused more on the message of the song rather than being on beat and mixing and mastering. ENJOY!
This is simply an introduction to the mixtape that portrays the sounds and feeling of walking in Ann Arbor. Most people enjoy the city vibe so i decided to re-create this feeling for the people who do not understand what it feels like to live in a city. If you listen close you will hear a combination of footsteps, wind, and busses and cars that come together to form a great sound. All created by Bryson rhodes
This is the second installment of the character building series. During this lecture Imam Shadeed Muhammad tackled the virtue of knowledge and the impact the scholars have on shaping our communities in comparison to the blood of the martyr.
In episode 7, Marshall and Pete do some catching up, discuss current'ish events within the functional fitness community, talk more about mindset/how to view your thoughts, and (briefly) how babies are made.
